EPIM Policy Update October 2019

EPIM Policy Updates are developed as a resource for organisations interested in European policy developments in the areas of migration and integration. The European Policy Centre (EPC), a Brussels-based think tank, has been commissioned by EPIM to produce these Policy Updates.

EPIM’s Policy Update addresses topics relevant to the following EPIM Thematic Funds: (1) Migration and Detention; (2) Reforming the Common European Asylum System; (3) Children and Youth on the Move, (4) Mobile EU Citizens’ Access to Rights, and (5) Building Inclusive European Societies.

This edition’s special focus discusses recent attempts to establish a predictable disembarkation and relocation mechanism for the Central Mediterranean. Other key highlights of this Policy Update include:
