From Streets to Homes - Collaboratively Providing More Than Just Housing

From Streets to Homes Association (Utcáról Lakásba! Egyesület) implements a social housing agency model that brings together private homeowners and families displaced from Ukraine as well as others in situation of marginalisation. The organisation provides housing and social support – such as counseling, mentoring, labour market integration, legal support, and information –  to vulnerable people and refugees.

In doing so, they also collaborate with Habitat For Humanity Hungary, Menedék Migránsokat Segítő Egyesület, and BMSZKI. Additional assistance is also provided through their own Give work! programme, a self-help labour market integration group. Since the war in Ukraine, From Streets To Home has been committed to providing this support – including subsidised housing and community events — to support both Ukrainians and other migrant groups.
