Building on tools and strategies developed in the context of the EPIM-funded PRAB 1.0, this project will seek to ensure the continuation and further expansion of the Protecting Rights at Borders initiative. The project is led by Danish Refugee Council Italy and implemented in partnership with CSD Diaconia Valdese, DRC BiH, DRC Brussels, DRC Greece, Greek Council for Refugees, Humanitarian Center for Integration and Tolerance (HCIT), Macedonian Young Lawyers Association (MYLA), Associazione per gli Studi Giuridici sull’Immigrazione (ASGI), Diversity Development Group, Asociacija Human Constanta International and the Association for Legal Intervention.
PRAB 2.0 will seek to achieve 1) access to justice and legal remedies for persons experiencing pushbacks and 2) improved accountability at national and EU internal
and external borders, through a) continued collection of evidence, b) strengthened coordination of partners and pathways for identification and referral of individual cases for legal action, and c) continued direct engagement with policy makers, national authorities and other relevant external stakeholders.
