The next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) of the EU, which will set the annual limits on EU expenses for the years 2021 – 2027 and define the EU budget for different policy areas, is currently being negotiated by the European Parliament and Member States. In the context of these negotiations, ECRE and PICUM produced the policy note “Promoting socio-economic inclusion of migrants and refugees in the next EU budget (2021-2027)” to provide an overview of the main legislative proposals regarding inclusion of third country nationals, an analysis of the main issues in the negotiations and a list of recommendations for policymakers.
